Warhol and its wonders
Andy warhol was once a famous artist the created many famous pieces of work that varied from sculptures, phototgrahy, film and music especially in the area of pop. Honestly I would buy his artwork because not only is it really unique but it shows some type of symbolic theme. I think I've seen work like his before on programs such as instagram and photoshop or anything along those lines. I can't say the association is pleasant or unpleasant but I can say that it is important and that it can eally contribute to many other aspects. Often critics would critcize art work but to me it seems that the work of Andy Warhol is not something that can be easily judged, infact it should be admired and not just from the opinion of one person. I find that informed opinions matter more than uninformed opinions because the informed present knowledge and knowledge is key. One can say another has good taste but what if the other considers it bias, it will cause debates om which opinion is more favorable. The formal aspects of Warhols portraits can vary, it all depends on the eyes of the beholders and how they would view it. Portraits really important to us because without them we wouldn't find ways to escape reality. Artists have painted portraits for ages because they consider others opinions quite informing and important since it can help them improve and support their passion.
Lab 5
In this Lab I was tasked to create a photoshop image using the skills formed from Andy Warhol. I started off by taking a picture of myself it was pretty good looking if i say so myself. After that I opened up photoshop placed the picture and did layer via copy so that I would have 4 copies of the same picture. After that, I saturated all 4 pictures so that they would appear black and white with no color to interfere. After that I used the rectangular marquee tool and selected each picture one by one, obviously I did it seperate layers so that It would be distinct. ALso for each selected picture I went new fill layer and chose solid color, with this I could choose which color I would want to cover the whole picture, one would be cyan and the others magenta, red and green. At first the pictures would be complete shrouded by the color but with the right opacity I would be able to make the whole picture presentable. After that I selected the background and only the background using the quick selection tool and did delete, this erased the background but not the color, this worked since I had the correct masks on the layers. After that, I decided to select myself in each individual picture and change myself using filter gallery, so that I could make myself look like an actually warhol btu of course the only modification setting I could use was cutout. Lastly With background clear and myself still selected I decided to change the color of self so that it didn't match the background. As you can see below I am matching cyan woth some sort of brown, red with orange or green and magenta with green and green with purple. It looks alittle bit amatuerish due to the fact that a real warhol would show more detail and contrast, I did try hard though. Did I try my hardest? No, there is so much more space for improvement that it can't be helped if I find many mistakes. I can improve it by changing the filter gallery and making better selections. I like all tthe contast in colors, it looks nice, plus all of this can really make a difference in the future.
Lab 4
In this lab, I had to take a picture of a dog in a room and use various adjustment tools and label them according to how much of that adjustment I used. For brightness and contrast and I put brightness at 53 and contrast at 85, with brighness and contast it can make the image appear more clear and shiny. As for the levels I used output levels between 60 and 255, the settings are custom and it is an RGB. For curves the output level 199 input level is 158, this causes a contrast between the waves in the image. As for exposure, the exposure level I set it to was 1.64, the offset was set to -0.1335 and the gamma correction was set to 1.82. Photoshop is an amazing program and the fact that I was able to use it to take a totally different image and modify to such and extent is jsut amazing. This is my current work for Lab 4 the reason I say it is current because it isn't perfect and can be improved. Furthermore, my work, in my opinion could pass for professional. It could look more professional with more hard work but thats something I wll worry about later on. I will improve it by modifying different layers , which will blend the different aspects of the image. I like how the image could pass for an old document fromthe 1800s, the colors make it look like it could be an old photograph. In the future skills like these could help me because honestly, who wouldn't want to turn a picture into something spectacular and fresh? Skills like these can attract many employers with different interests.
Lab 3- Mask and image adjustment
In this Lab, I had to take a normal picture of a beach and a dog and by using the proper masks I would be able to duplicated the dog and maintain the same background.I first started off with a picture of a normal dog called Lancelot, I had to select the background using the quick selection tool and only the background, it wasn't a perfect selection but it worked for me. With this selection i made a destructive layer, by doing layer via cut, only by activating and de activating the red eye tool would I be able to see the dog and or the background. This layer could get the background by itself, I named it beach background, It was a layer besides the original background layer. Next was to select the dog, I did the best selection I could so that i could get the most of the dog. Next, I did layer via copy and copyed the image and named it, background copy. Lastly for the 2 final layers I made a whole mask based on the background and made a copy of lancelot and moved it to the right, these layers were called whole mask and lancelot right. Personally, my final product does look nice, probably even professional, depending on the viewers opinion. Of course it needs improvement because if you look closely, the selection for the second dog can be seen, it is inevitable to notice such imperfection, but it can't be helped. I plan to improve it by maybe doing the selection for the second dog again since it could of been selected more carefully. I still like the piece though, it shows my skills are developiing and one day soon, I can do things I never thought were possible. Selecting a dog and making it look like it has a twin, with skills like these I could probably get far in the photography business, I'll never know until I try.

Lab 2- The Melon Head
In this Lab, Lab 2 to be exact I actually had to do many many things in order to satisfy my creative desires. The point of the lab was to take pictures of fruits such as melon, Zuchini, blueberries and etc to make some sort of face, I've figure to be exact. I used selection tools such as quick selecion, rectangular marquee, eliptical marquee, move , magic wand, lasso and many others. All of these tools contributed to letting me create my artistic design, and only by combining certain tools would I be able to create my master piece. I would like to imply that this lab did indeed take me quite awhile to complete, on the other hand it was very informative and fun. The educational experience of this lab valued a lot to me just as my past work has.
In this lab the way i executed the certain tools was by first using the rectangular marquee tool. With this tool I formed a square around the melon, the main fruit of the lab actually. After the square was formed i moved the square to the right of the melon. As for the blue berries and carrots, the main tools were eliptical marquee and the move tool. With these i could created circles for the eyes and pupils. As for the zuchini the magic wand tool was a huge help, I was able to select the whole fruit by holding down the mouse and the shift key. For the rest of the fruits and such I either used the lasso tool, or magnetic lasso like for the pasta, I was able to select it by zomming in by 300% and using the lasso tool. The same goes for the mushroom, but that one took alittle more prescision. I had to take in more consideration for the mushroom. Overall the lab was very good and was a weel thought idea, here I present my final piece. It doesn't look professional, more like silly, but thats why i'm in school, to improve my skills. That means this piece in particular has space to improve and all the tools I used in this lab will help me in the future when i am tasked to form something creative. I like how even though its simple, it something not everyone with a computer can do.

Lab 1- Photography Point Of View
In this Lab, I worked with photoshop CS5 and I used photography skills to take advantage of different views that a camera can take advantage of. I focused on using specific angel view points such as Close up, Low view point, High View point, eye level shots, Portrait and Landscape. These angle viewpoints are all different in their own unique way and I found this Lab to be quite entertaining. Furthermore, I was able to go outside in the and take pictures of things such as Citi bank building, the park, maybe from a distance and the deli. The way I formed my layers was according to how i want ed to align them so that it would make my first look somewhat professional and presentable towards others so that I can recieve quite good remarks.
As you can see in the picture below I Labeled each picture with the specfic angle of view that fit it best. Also I would to clarify that each and everyone one of these pictures are original, which makes each one unique. For High level view I took a simple picture having my camera face down and taking a snapshot of a tree stand, the circle with tri-color. As for Low angle view I took a zoomed out pictire of citi bank so that it would apear to be taken from the ground. Furthermore, for eye level view I took a picture of two fellow classmates, I was actually able to get a clear view of their eyes so that the camera could focus on it and get a clearshot. Making clearshots, looking after work and never leave out space for improvement are grats skills for a photographer, but I must apply these skills so that they can help me become a better web designer. I think my final product is very good and that even though it doesn't look very professional, that just means it has more room to improve. I plan to improve this by making the angles more clear, taking it from a better perspective, I still like it though because even though its not perfect its shows things that I see everyday. Skills like these will help me in the future when I pursue a career in technology and science, it will give my employers some thing to look foward to.
